New Members Group
Provides the opportunity for new members to meet with the clergy to learn about Temple Micah and to discuss issues relating to Jewish identity and connection to the Jewish community.
The New Member Group is for congregants who have joined Temple Micah since January 2006. These monthly Thursday evening discussions with Rabbi Zemel or Rabbi Manewith and Meryl Weiner are from 7:00-9:00 and are based around issues that are important to the Temple Micah community. They range from learning about the symbols in the sanctuary and exploring the prayerbook we use during Shabbat worship, to being Jewish in America and examining one's personal theology, among other topics. We begin our gathering with a communal dinner.
